Comforter

A comforter is the same thing as a duvet (pronounced “due-vay). Many people in the United States say “duvet” when referring to a duvet cover while most people in Europe and Canada refer to a comforter as a duvet. A duvet cover is the protective and often decorative cover that slips over the comforter (or duvet), much like a pillow case on a pillow.

Comforters (or Duvets) originated in rural Europe and were cloth bags often filled with whatever kind of feathers that happened to be available. These days, a quality comforter is much more than that; Luxurious soft fabrics, highly processed, super clean, de-dusted and sanitized white polyester fibre results in a comforter that will last for years, if not decades, at an affordable price. Nothing matches the experience of sleeping under a quality comforter-or duvet!
